Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics

SIAM is an international organization founded in 1952, with the mission to advance the application of mathematics and computational science to engineering, industry, science, and society.

Mathematicians use mathematical tools to solve concrete problems in science, business and other areas computational science studies methods for solving math problems. SIAM publishes 16 peer-review journals and a variety of ebooks for the applied math and computational science communities.

SIAM focuses to advance the application of mathematics and computational science to engineering, industry, science, and society, promote research that will lead to effective new mathematical and computational methods and techniques for science, engineering, industry, and society and provide media for the exchange of information and ideas among mathematicians, engineers, and scientists.
